Rose McGowan

"Rose", born on September 5, 1973 is an American actress. Her film
debut was a short role in the comedy Encino Man (1992), McGowan received more
attention for her performance in the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995)
with an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance. McGowan
first appeared in the horror movie Scream in 1996. In the following years, she
was the headliner of Jawbreaker (1999), Devil in the Flesh (1998), and Going
All the Way (1997). McGowan's portrayal of Paige Matthews on the WB
supernatural drama Charmed (2001-2006) was her most well-known character.
Quentin Tarantino directed her double-feature film Grindhouse (2006) which was
the film where she was awarded the Saturn Award for Best Actress as well as the
Scream Award to Best Scream Queen. McGowan was in the action thriller series
Chosen (2014), and released her debut album, Planet 9, in 2018. It was followed
by a second repackaging in 2020. McGowan was honored by Time as one of the
Silence Breakers, the magazine’s Person of the Year in the year 2017. She spoke
out against harassment and sexual assault, and specifically the Harvey
Weinstein sexual abuse cases. In the year 2018, she released Brave, a memoir,
as well as appeared in Citizen Rose, a four-part documentary series.
