Alona Tal

Alona Tal, an Israeli American actor and singer was born October 20, 1983 in Herzliya. She began her career after serving in the Israeli Defense Forces. In 2003 she starred in an Israeli film. This was her first big break. In 2003, she appeared in two TV series in the country, and did some music as well, recording several songs together with Israeli rapper Subliminal. Tal relocated with her sister in New York to take a time out from her work. She teamed up with Haitian artist Wyclef Jean for the song "Party to Damascus". She also managed to establish herself on American television, with a recurring role in the series Veronica Mars: She originally auditioned for the lead role, but the creator Rob Thomas wrote a new character specifically for her. Later, Tal was offered a regular part of the CBS series. She was on two television shows in Israel before shifting to New York. Wyclef Jean was her singing partner. Hebrew is her mother tongue. Second place in the auditions for the role of Veronica Mars (2004). She was originally auditioned and Rob Thomas' second choice. Thomas was so in love with her that he conceived the recurring character Meg Manning just for her. She was a member of The Israel Defense Forces. Both of her parents are Jewish and her father is Turkish/Jewish and her mother Polish/Jewish. Plays the role of Adrian Monk's daughter in the final episode. Her father is Turkish/Jewish, and her mother is Polish/Jewish.
