Gillian MacLaren Jacobs

Gillian MacLaren Jacobs born October 19, 1982 , is an American actress. Her credits include Britta Perry (NBC comedy series from 2009 to 2015), Mickey Dobbs (Netflix romantic comedy series Love (2016)-2018) as well as Atom Eve (Amazon animated series Invincible 2021). Mimi-Rose is her most frequent role on the fourth season of the HBO comedy-drama Girls (2012-2017). She has also appeared in films such as Life Partners (2014), Hot Tub Time Machine 2 (2015) and Don't Think Twice (2016). Gillian MacLaren Jacobs was born on the 19th of October 1982 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Martina Magenau Jacobs her mother works in alumni relations at Carnegie Mellon University. William F. Jacobs Jr. was an investment banker. Her father William F. Jacobs Jr. passed away in 2013. She was raised by her mother in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Her family owned the Erie Brewing Company (not to be confused with the later brewery bearing the identical name) in which her father, John Martin Magenau Jr., served as CEO and president until the brewery closed in 1978.Jacobs began her studies in acting at the age of four and was a student in weekend classes at the Pittsburgh Playhouse while growing up. She was a part of the Pittsburgh Public Theater, where she was an all-time winner in the public's Shakespeare Monologue Contest, leading her to be cast as Titania in the production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mt. in 2000, she graduated from Lebanon High School. Then, she moved to New York City for the Juilliard School. There, she received a BFA in 2004.
