Morgan was born on July 2, 1989 (Alex Morgan age: 30) to Pamela and Michael Morgan. They raised her along with her sisters, Jeni and Jeri, in the Los Angeles suburb of Diamond Bar. Morgan was multisport in her childhood, however she began playing soccer at the age of 14. Morgan joined the Cypress Elite club team and won the Coast Soccer League under-16 championship. Morgan also finished third in the under-19 bracket. Morgan was able to continue to improve her soccer abilities at Diamond Bar High School. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) chose Morgan to be an All-American Athlete.
